This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of intelligent buildings management and practical use of the control system HAWK from company Honeywell. The thesis describes the basic problem of intelligent building management, exactly why they created and how it is possible to implement building automation, including a listing of available equipment that can be used in these systems. The thesis also discusses one of the systems that can be used for building control. The control system is called HAWK and thesis describes the programming environment and connectable peripherals. For a given control system is formed in the scrubbing practical demonstration device wind tunnel, which is shown using the work of the control system.
Wireless sensors for indoor air monitoring
Hradecký, Martin ; Gutman, Jiří (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with sensors in an intelligent building. Also deals with wireless communication standards that are used for data transmission in intelligent buildings The main objective of this work was to select sensors and create a program development platform Freescale FRDM-KL25Z. The program was created for selected sensors, which are used to monitor the internal environment of buildings specifically air. Transferring data to the application provides wireless communication standard Bluetooth.
The technique of intelligent buildings
Bojanovský, Tomáš ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The thesis provides a basic concept of intelligent building and related fields where this technology is appropriate. The next section describes the systems used in this field, especially the so-called communication buses and protocols. For an overview of developments in this area there is also a list of major companies involved in this technology. As a practical example is then described by air temperature and air control facilities in the building A2 or A5 in a building located within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. For both cases are also proposed possible treatment.
Intelligent Building Management Software Implementation Using PLC
Michal, Pavel ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Marvan, Aleš (advisor)
This work deals with the development of an application module SoftPLC, which is running on the control unit based on the Linux operating system for the company Elko EP. The control unit for IMB is designed for intelligent building management and it is configurable via the SOAP protocol using iNELS Designer & Manager 3.
Collection of measurement and control data
Podolský, Ondřej ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The semester thesis outlines the idea of the concept of intelligent building and related technologies. The first section describes the devices used in the field of intelligent installations in particular selected communication protocols and bus. In the next section there are some examples of systems from different manufacturer and the most detailed herein descripted system is Honeywell’s system built on NiagaraAX Framework because the practical part of the work is implemented using this system. The last part describes creation process of data visualization and storage obtained from intelligent building of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication.
The technique of smart school buildings
Drábková, Helena ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis briefly discusses about regulation of energy consumption in buildings with specialization on building intelligent systems and its application at schools. It briefly characterizes regulation of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and lighting and its integration into centralized control component. Thesis discusses about systems from a few producers, short description of economic operation, a vision of these systems into the future and examples of implemented installations.
Building control system with Saia PLC
Rejchlík, Lukáš ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the basics of intelligent building control using programmable logic controllers. The work focuses especially on heating and lighting on buildings. First part is dedicated programmable logic controllers and visualization. There is also a description of the protocol S-Bus used by Saia products. The following section contains calculations the heat loss of buildings and design of thermal model object created by Simscape libraries for Matlab/Simulink. For room temperature control is designed PI regulator. The control of the building is realized by the PLC Saia. Visualization is displayed on the touch panel.
Collection of measurement and control data
Rathouzský, Matouš ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis outlines the concept of intelligent buildings and the associated collection of measurement and control data. The first part describes the BACnet communication protocol and data collected from the intelligent building. It also describes Honeywell's COACHAX software, which is an integral part of the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The last part is the implementation of a database model for the storage of simulated measurement and control data T12 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies and afterwards is generate simulated data and created visualization.
Home Smart Wiring with Independent Sources
Doktor, Viktor ; Uher, Václav (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
The output of our work is complete proposal of the building wiring, the photovoltaic power plant proposal and technical report. In the first part we find the theoretical information concerning the proposal of the house wiring, explanations of basic terms and principles of technical documentation. We can find also an overview of known intelligent systems and a brief description. In the second part we describe itself proposal of concrete building, step by step. We can find a description of a created program to control building. The third part is focused on theoretical information about photovoltaics. Here we explain the basic principle, the limits of technology, materials and the panel structure. In the fourth part we proceeded to the actual plant proposal. Here we find the principle and a block diagram of system and description of the components of the plant, evaluation of production and energy consumption. Drawings of the technical documentation wiring as a photovoltaic power plant, distributor scheme and its layout can be found in the technical report, in Attachment.
Design and production of sample panels with system installation Inels
Steidl, Jaromír ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the problems of system installations. The system installation is presented as an installation, where the light switch does not serve for interrupt a power circuit, but it serves as a sensor, which directs the status change of actuator, that makes the own manipulation with a power circuit. In the first chapter the diploma thesis presents the history of the system installation development depending on the demand for the system regulation in buildings centrally and complexly. There are also summarize advantages and disadvantages of installations, which are used in these days. In the second chapter, the system installations are devided into centralized and decentralized systems. The centralized systems are constructionally simpler as well the communication, but the whole system is more inclinable to fail. The decentralized systems are more complicated, more expensive, but more reliable and they have also potentiality to extand. Two decentralized systems, nowadays the most used, are further presented – KNX and LonWorks. They are used especially for the administration buildings control. Then the diploma thesis presents both some systems, which are used abroad, and the situation at the Czech market, whereas there is described the system INELS, which is made by Elko ep. Limited Company. The goal of the thesis, which is mentioned in the third chapter, is to present the system installations, design a panel with this installation including the panel´s handmade, and then on this panel demonstrate the panel´s using for education in laboratory practices. The fourth chapter discusses the author´s characterization of the panel´s concept – there is described the graphical concept of the panel, used units and their integrations. By all of used units their functions on the panel are described. In the last but one chapter, there are mentioned the practical applications, which the panel serves, and there are also described the concepts of laboratory tasks for education of the fundamental configuration and possibilities of the system installation INELS. The chapter also engage in the configuration of the system for the panel, which presents control elements in one room via the system installation INELS. This configuration serves for the presentation of the educational panel. The conclusion is dedicated to the summary of the mentioned problems.
